Day Four; Frankfurt!

Our day began early this morning, at about 5:30 AM. After meeting up as a team, we had the awesome privilege of volunteering to feed the homeless. It was an amazing experience, despite the fact of limited communications. Nearly everybody spoke only Deutsch. In the 3 hours that we were there, we were able to help feed nearly 150 locals..

After breakfast and serving we toured Frankfurt, shopped the Centre, and sampled more EIS! After near heat stroke, we hopped on a train back to Pastor's house...where there was air conditioning and a cake for Chris's 18th birthday!(Zum Geburtstag!) Then we were able to finally finish our team shirts...even though not one shirt came out unsmeared.

Later on we jumped back on the train and headed toward Trinity Lutheran Church for a chill night with local youth. We shared our backgrounds, talked about "taking that step" and played some games. Going out for pizza was a definite plus, and that allowed us to just get to know each other that much more.
All in all today was long, hot, and flippin' sweet!
Danke, God for the rad day! (:

Love you more than Becca and Karina,
Elsa and Kat! (:

Verse of the day:
...to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, Isaiah 61:2
